Renovating? This Will Help!
One of the first decisions I made when re-designing my kitchen was picking the stone for the countertops. I felt like if I had this down, all the other design elements would come into place fast and easy! Marie Flanigan, my amazing interior designer from Texas, introduced me to Aria Stone Gallery, the most incredible online marketplace for stone!
It’s so hard to know exactly what you want when there are so many options and so many different places to go! Aria Stone Gallery makes shopping for stone so efficient and so fun! They are real experts in their business and have created an easy way to shop online and get the help you need with a special concierge service! Here are 5 simple steps to choosing and purchasing your stone with confidence!
1. MAKE YOUR WISHLIST
First, think about which natural stone type best suits your needs. Consider the application and use. Are you looking for a colorful statement piece or a classic neutral? All of these questions will help to point you in the right design direction. From there you can begin to build your wish lists by clicking “Add to Wishlist” on the product page. Save as many favorites as you want and dream away! I chose a really beautiful quartzite specifically because of the coloring! I knew I didn’t want a plain white and grey kitchen. This quartzite had a hint of navy and peach, which I knew would be perfect given the terra-cotta tile flooring and the light wood cabinets we selected!
Scrolling through the plethora of options is so easy!:
(Here’s a little more info. on how quartzite is different than stone in case you were wondering 😉
Consider the surface area for your project and how the slabs will be laid out in the space. Things like where to place a seam, how the veins will line up at the seam juncture, as well as edge detail selections (learn more about edge types here) should be considered. If you need assistance with this, not to worry. Their concierge service will be able to assist you. Email your drawings or measurements to email@example.com and they will walk you through the process step-by-step and provide you with instructions for your fabrication partner.
All of the product images on their website are professional, color matched photos of the exact bundle of material you are purchasing slabs from. Learn more about this here. Select the number of slabs needed for your project per material type and add to your cart. Once purchased, their concierge will work with you in coordinating a virtual slab viewing so you can view your actual slabs in more detail.
4. ARIA’S CONCIERGE COORDINATION
Once your order has been received their concierge service will send you the exact slab photos and the option to conduct a live viewing of the slabs online. After this the concierge will coordinate the shipping logistics to deliver your slabs to your chosen fabrication shop. They make all of the arrangements and will keep you updated along the way.
Once your slabs are at the fabricator shop they will take over by confirming your design specifications from the design phase. After this the fabricator will send you layouts for your approval and confirm any preventative treatments such as a sealer for your natural stone. Once approved by you, the fabricator will cut the material pieces for your project for installation. This is called the production phase.
I CANNOT WAIT to show you the final reveal! The stone is SOOOOOOO gorgeous and I can’t thank the Aria Stone Gallery Team enough for helping my interior dreams come true!
