My Favorite BBQ Recipes
Who else loves a good barbecue?!
A few weekends ago, Timmy and I hosted a little get together with some friends and family. With summer right around the corner, I figured it’s the perfect time to start the grill up and get everyone to hang out in the backyard. Barbeques are my favorite to host during this season because they’re laid back, relaxing, and of course… include the best food! You can never go wrong with the traditional burgers and steak, but I’ve recently tried out some yummy recipes that I’ve found from cookbooks, online, etc. to add a twist to the occasion.

Queso Fundido Dip by What’s Gaby Cooking
Okay, this one doesn’t even need an explanation! A mix of melted, gooey cheese will always be sooo good. It’s a great appetizer to get the meal started and excites guest for the rest of the food to come.
Watermelon & Feta Salad by Ina Garten
Nothing says summertime like watermelon! I love a good salad, and this is totally that. It’s light, simple and delish.
Agua Fresca by Martha Stewart
Of course, the event is incomplete without beverages. Aside from providing the norms, I like to make agua fresca. It’s easy to prepare and super refreshing!
Tri Tip Tacos by What’s Gaby Cooking
Disclosure: If you want to try this recipe out, plan in advance! The meat alone takes 8-10 hours to cook in a crock pot, but it’s totally worth it. In the end, the meat is super flavorful and tasty.
Guacamole by What’s Gaby Cooking
Guacamole is an absolute MUST! I’ve tried a couple recipes in the past, and this has to be one of my favorites. It’s perfectly seasoned and has the right balance of everything. Plus, it pairs great with the queso fundido dip and even tastes yummy with the tri tip (win-win).

When I’m hosting, I always like to give my guests a variety of options. Ina Garten’s recipes are always my go to sources, and this BBQ chicken didn’t disappoint. Recipe is on page 120 in the book above!
Grilled Corn on the Cob by Ina Garten
The day would be incomplete without some classic corn on the cob. Add some butter to the corn, grill it, and then season with some salt and its ready!
Frozen Yogurt Cake by Jamie Oliver
Now time for the dessert! If you want to cut out baking time, I highly recommend trying this recipe out. It reminds me of ice cream cake, but the yogurt makes it a healthier and lighter alternative.
Chocolate Bundt Cake by Martha Stewart
Again, options! Chocolate cake is a weakness of mine, and the one I made following this recipe definitely satisfied my cravings. It’s moist, airy and has just the right amount of chocolate to fulfill the criteria.
