Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits! I love the smell of it, I love to eat it and I especially love to drink it! Watermelons are in season from about May to September so be sure to start checking your local farmer markets for all the delicious varieties. With Cinco de Mayo coming up I thought it would be the perfect time to share my favorite Watermelon Margarita recipe. Add a bowl of chips and some guac and salsa and you have yourself the perfect party!

Coarse sea or kosher salt (optional, depends if you like your drink with a salted rim)

3 oz. watermelon juice

3 oz. of your favorite tequila

Juice from two limes

Ice cubs (for serving)

Sliced limes (for serving, optional)

Frozen blueberries (for garnish, optional)



1.Fill a large cocktail shaker (or tall glass) with watermelon juice, tequila and lime juice.

2. Shake vigorously!

3. Put ice cubs in each glass and pour the margarita mixture over.

4. Add in a few frozen blueberries and a slice of lime to the rim, and there you go!


This recipe is so easy and the margarita is so refreshing! Happy Cinco de Mayo!
