This week on WITH WHIT, I had such an amazing guest, Cindy Eckert! Cindy has had a distinguished 24-year career in healthcare, in only the last 10 she has started and sold two businesses for more than $1.5B. First Slate Pharmaceuticals, which redefined long acting testosterone treatment for men then Sprout Pharmaceuticals which broke through with the first ever FDA-approved drug for low sexual desire in women — dubbed “female Viagra” by the media.
I was drawn to interview Cindy, because not only is she incredibly smart, but she is also using her success to help women achieve the outcomes she has had. In addition to running business, she mentors and invests in other driven women to help make their career dreams come true! How cool is that?! A total pay it forward moment!!
Cindy and I dove deep into the conversation of female sexual satisfaction. In comparison to men…female experience during sex is not discussed. In some cultures, sex isn’t even a topic! All that to be said, women certainly are not comfortable informing if they are having issues in the bedroom. Cindy has opened the door to that conversation and is working tirelessly to break down the stigma associated with it. Through her campaign Right To Desire, Cindy is raising awareness about Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder – which is a biological reason (which they are able to see using brain scans!) on why a woman has trouble reaching an orgasm. Below are some symptoms to look out for:
- You experience low sexual desire no matter the type of sexual activity
- Your level of sexual desire or interest in sex has decreased
- Your lower sexual desire or lower interest in sex is bothering you
- You were satisfied in the past with your level of sexual desire or interest in sex, but no longer are
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, head to righttodesire.com for more information! This is so common and you deserve to experience as much joy and satisfaction in the bedroom as your husband!! WOMEN NEED TO ENJOY SEX!
