Sonny is officially nine months old now and I seriously cannot believe how fast time has gone by! Lately, I’ve been looking at photos of him from just a few months ago and it’s so surreal to see how much he has changed and become a real person (fun fact: he just recently started crawling a few weeks ago, woohoo!).
It’s mid-afternoon and you’ve been eagerly anticipating your baby’s nap so you can get a few moments of quiet time, catch up on chores, or even take a short nap yourself. Only your baby didn’t get the memo and naptime at your house is almost non-existent.
Not napping is a common problem that happens when your very portable newborn gets a bit older. The good news is it can be fixed with a few adjustments.
There’s one number every new parent should know: 1,000.
No, it’s not the number of diapers you’ll have to change, or the number of hours of sleep you’ll lose this year because of your newborn – that number is probably higher. Instead, it’s the first 1,000 days of your baby’s life from the moment of conception to age 2.
This episode is all about SLEEP! In this Chapter of I Love My Baby, But…, we discuss the importance of sleep for the entire family and how we got Sonny to sleep 12 hours a night! I need to put the disclaimer in that every baby is obviously different and will react to methods differently.

When I first had my son a year and a half ago I bought so many expensive baby clothes. I had to have the latest fashions, organic everything, and the hottest brands. I quickly learned that they grow out of things so fast!!! I was literally throwing away so much money on baby clothing that he was wearing for sometimes only a few weeks at best. I would justify it by saying “oh well, the next baby will wear it” but I know now that’s not always the case and that baby clothes don’t always last.
Here is an episode of ☀A Day In The Life☀ for y’all! (Yes, I went to Nashville once and can now say y’all whenever I want! ????) From Sonny’s 6 month check up, to a rose lunch w/ my main man, to getting locked out, to a night out- enjoy a day in my life!
So I know what you all may be thinking, ” geez, they waited a LONG time to feed this baby real food!”. Well, you aren’t wrong ;). In this weeks Chapter of I Love My Baby, But… we discuss the daunting task of SONNY STARTING SOLIDS.
