Sonny is officially nine months old now and I seriously cannot believe how fast time has gone by! Lately, I’ve been looking at photos of him from just a few months ago and it’s so surreal to see how much he has changed and become a real person (fun fact: he just recently started crawling a few weeks ago, woohoo!).
It’s mid-afternoon and you’ve been eagerly anticipating your baby’s nap so you can get a few moments of quiet time, catch up on chores, or even take a short nap yourself. Only your baby didn’t get the memo and naptime at your house is almost non-existent.
Not napping is a common problem that happens when your very portable newborn gets a bit older. The good news is it can be fixed with a few adjustments.
It’s been a good minute since I’ve shared my latest must haves, but I’ve got a fun list of some things I’m totally obsessed with this month!
Even though springtime is almost coming to an end (and I can’t wait till summer), it’s one of my favorite seasons of the year. From the fashion and accessories to beauty products, there are so many great finds out there that it’s hard to just pick a few favorite things. Nonetheless, I’ve narrowed it down to some items I’ve been loving in April… so keep scrolling to find out what they are!
There’s one number every new parent should know: 1,000.
No, it’s not the number of diapers you’ll have to change, or the number of hours of sleep you’ll lose this year because of your newborn – that number is probably higher. Instead, it’s the first 1,000 days of your baby’s life from the moment of conception to age 2.
Alright, who else can’t wait for festival season to start already?!
Incase you didn’t know, I’ll be heading out to Indio tomorrow for Coachella and am so excited for the weekend to begin. Timmy will be with Sonny while I’m gone, so I’ll be off mom-duty for a little to enjoy some music and the desert sun with my sister. I’m really excited to see Kygo, Chromeo, Haim, and so many more amazing artists.
Last Saturday was a CRAZY day! I had a full day photo shoot, started at 8 am and wrapped at 7:30pm, and Timmy was on Sonny duty, followed by a night out without the babe for our best friend’s birthday dinner!
This episode is all about SLEEP! In this Chapter of I Love My Baby, But…, we discuss the importance of sleep for the entire family and how we got Sonny to sleep 12 hours a night! I need to put the disclaimer in that every baby is obviously different and will react to methods differently.

When I first had my son a year and a half ago I bought so many expensive baby clothes. I had to have the latest fashions, organic everything, and the hottest brands. I quickly learned that they grow out of things so fast!!! I was literally throwing away so much money on baby clothing that he was wearing for sometimes only a few weeks at best. I would justify it by saying “oh well, the next baby will wear it” but I know now that’s not always the case and that baby clothes don’t always last.
