Whether you are going to a fancy event, out to dinner, or staying in with friends this look is easy and will look amazing in any setting. With an emphasis on a bold lip you can rock it with jeans or a fabulous dress and still be a showstopper.
For this look on Whit we used a bright fuchsia to complement her dress and change things up a bit from the classic red lip.
Here we go…
Step 1: SKIN
Moisturize skin and apply a light diffusing primer. I love Wonderglow by Charlotte Tilbury over Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre.
Step 2: LIPS
After you conceal where needed put on your lip, this may seem backwards but it’s a great way to judge how much eye makeup to use. You want the lip to be the star! Pick any bright or bold color from a stain to a gloss to a matte.Try NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Jardin De Plantes or Sephora Hydra stain Rouge Infusion in 07 and 05.
Step 3: EYES
Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Shadows are great for a base and color in one and they don’t move. Try Bad to the Bronze for a gold look and apply with finger to lid. For a little sparkle try Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Shadow in Smokey Topaz. Then add a black or brown pencil to the top lash line and smudge with a brush or Q tip. Finally a couple coats of Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Black to finish the look. (Feel free to skip the eye liner and add even more mascara for a more pronounced lash look)
Step 4: FACE
(Bronzer/Blush/Highlight) To complete this look use NARS Laguna Bronzer in light strokes concentrating on the outer portions of your face. Then apply blush to apples of the cheeks and make sure you stay within the tone of the lip color you chose. I love the YSL Kiss & Blush Lip Stains for this reason. It’s a lip and cheek in one.
Finally apply a powder or liquid highlight to the cheekbones and down the bridge of the nose. I love Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette for Powder and Smashbox Halo Highlighting Wand for Cream.
