Home Renovation Update: Bathroom Accessories

New home update: renovations are coming together slowly but surely! I’ve shared this before, but Timmy and I officially bought a new home almost a year ago now and it’s crazy how much has changed in just a few months. We’ve been doing some updates here and there since last summer, and we’re starting to see some major results (yay!).

It’s been a long process getting things done, so to make things easier I worked with Marie Flanigan Interiors and partnered with Wayfair to add a more modern touch to our 1950’s home.

Note: The bathrooms aren’t finished just yet! To get the job started though, we’ve begun making small changes with some new light fixtures, knobs, and faucets.

Breakfast Nook

The breakfast nook is probably one of my favorite spots in the home. It’s where I spend most of my time when I’m working and need to get things done. I’ve talked about some of my design tips on one of my recent blog posts, and now I can’t wait to tell you guys about the finishing details!

Table –  Marble Dining Table by C2A Designs

Light Fixture – Cristobal Semi Flush Mount

Our wallpaper and shades make a statement on their own, so I tried to find pieces that meshed in with scene without being too distracting. The marble table is both a functional and cute piece of furniture. As for the light fixture, the unique black structure with gold details creates a subtle and more contemporary feel to everything.

Guest Bath

Now moving onto the the guest bathroom! The room originally had all black and white tiles, so it made sense to continue with the theme and add black matte bathroom accessories. These features kept things classic and cohesive.

Master Bath

Finally, the master bathroom. It’s got a very eclectic feel to it with coral and dark green tiles, and had existing brushed gold knobs and tiles that I wanted to keep. For that reason, I chose accessories that matched with the colors and had a similar finishing to the originals.
