This week definitely feels lighter than last week but it’s definitely still not very light. Ugh, I hate being so negative but I also am just a realist. From the pandemic to the election and everything in between…I know I am not alone when I say I have a rollercoaster of emotions. I am trying to take each day one at a time. Moment by moment. That is easier said than done sometimes. So, I am also making sure to give myself patience, extra love and shine, because I know I am doing my best each day…each moment.
My Postmates from LA SCALA just got delivered so I gotta make this brief. IT’S THE WEEKEND!!! This week was insanely productive, but also very heavy with personal stuff and all this political stuff. Sonny went back to school (He is SO happy. I’m so relieved and happy for him) and my sister, Jade, and her husband are visiting from Chicago!! We are busy! ANYWHOOO, here is everything I wore, used and loved this week if you wanna shop!!
Have y’all tuned into WAIT WHAT WITH WHIT?? If you have, I hope you’ve been loving as much as I have. If you feel like you’re in a little bit of a slump, I highly suggest making a list of all the things you want to learn how to do that you never thought you’d have the time for, and go for it! It may be intimidating at first, but I’m hoping I come out of this quarantine a more well-rounded and knowledgeable human being. I feel so proud of myself and feel so much SHINE for actually making the time to do this stuff. Whenever I accomplish something I start to feel more motivated and empowered. That’s what getting ot of your comfort zone will do!
I AM SO EXCITED!!! I LAUNCHED A CANDLE COLLECTION!!! This has been such a labor of love. I LOVED every single second of the process. I even hand drew all of the illustrations on the packaging!!! AHHHHH! SHINE!! Each candle was inspired by a place that is near and dear to my heart.
Loving yourself can be one of the hardest things to do. Why is that? We can be our worst enemies at the flip of a switch. I know for me, if something doesn’t go as I planned or hoped, I am quick to point the finger at myself. It must have been something I did or said. I should’ve handled the situation differently. No. Stop. We HAVE to be our biggest cheerleaders. That phrase people say is 100% true…”treat yourself like you would treat your best friend.” We have to emotionally be there for ourselves especially in times like these where there is so much uncertainty. It is imperative for our mental health.
It feels like overnight all of our lives changed drastically. Quarantine was definitely a shock to our family’s system. We went through many phases of coping. The beginning was filled with so much anxiety fueled by fear of the virus, uncertainty and feeling trapped at home. Before too long, we quickly realized we needed to start truly taking care of ourselves – mentally and physically.
This week was so crazy. Every day went by so quickly, yet it felt so long. I have been feeling a little more anxious and frazzled lately so I am really going to take the time to just be this weekend. I hope you all have a restful holiday weekend ahead of you as well!! In case you are in the mood to shop on the couch ( like me ;)), here is everything I wore, used and loved over the past few weeks.
Here with a very special post from Jaquelyn Nguyen, an ER Nurse working in NYC! First off, I want to thank Jaquelyn for all of the work she is doing on the front lines of COVID-19. I am so grateful to all of the healthcare workers who are tirelessly working every day.
I am obsessed with Sonny’s hair. Cutest curls in the world. I hope they NEVER go away. A lot of you are always asking me how I manage them. When he had extremely long hair it wasn’t easy. He used to hate having his hair washed because it would get SO tangly. His hair is much shorter now and thankfully he doesn’t mind having it detangled. He gets a head massage! Who doesn’t love that? I hope he grows up to love his hair as much as I do.
FriYAY for REALLLLLLL people. This week was insanity for me. I got my period and was PMS’ing hard core. Likely why I have been a little MIA on social. I hope you had a wonderful week though and have a relaxing weekend ahead of you. That is what I am hoping for! Below you will find everything I wore, used and loved this week!
