Have y’all tuned into WAIT WHAT WITH WHIT?? If you have, I hope you’ve been loving as much as I have. If you feel like you’re in a little bit of a slump, I highly suggest making a list of all the things you want to learn how to do that you never thought you’d have the time for, and go for it! It may be intimidating at first, but I’m hoping I come out of this quarantine a more well-rounded and knowledgeable human being. I feel so proud of myself and feel so much SHINE for actually making the time to do this stuff. Whenever I accomplish something I start to feel more motivated and empowered. That’s what getting ot of your comfort zone will do!
Here with a very special post from Jaquelyn Nguyen, an ER Nurse working in NYC! First off, I want to thank Jaquelyn for all of the work she is doing on the front lines of COVID-19. I am so grateful to all of the healthcare workers who are tirelessly working every day.
As you guys know…I LOVE talking about skincare. Is it getting annoying yet, cause I could do it for hours and hours? I almost did this week on WITH WHIT! I spoke with Celeste Thomas, a Registered Nurse and holistic skincare expert. She has devoted her career to exploring the ever-evolving skincare industry. Celeste utilizes her medical expertise and passion for holistic wellness to find what truly works. Below you will find links to products from her favorite skincare brands!! I already bought and love them all!
Skincare is such an important part of my self care routine, especially in the morning! Mornings are my favorite time of day, because it’s when I have the chance to get prepared and set the tone for what I want my day to look like. Timmy and Sonny are usually preoccupied watching morning TV, so I have a couple extra minutes to get ready which is really all you need for this process. A lot of you have been asking me what my morning skincare routine is…I thought it would easiest (and more fun!) if I show you.
I recently had the pleasure of spending the day with my favorite natural beauty. As you can see, it was all about simple, pretty makeup. We concentrated on her already glowing skin and soft pink tones for a fresh and sophisticated look.
Here is a quick rundown:
I prepped Whitney’s Skin with a serum, moisturizer and primer.
Then I applied a shadow base to her lids and lined with a brown pencil smudging it upward. Next I pressed a light taupe onto the lid and a soft gold at the lash line. Lined again with the brown pencil and finished with a few coats of black mascara and short individual lashes. We left the bottom lash line completely clean.
Foundation was easy because her skin is in great shape. I blended a light layer from the T zone outward with a damp beauty blender. Concealed only where it was needed which was mainly around the nose and under the eyes. Finished with a light dusting of powder concentrating again in the T zone since she was doing on camera interviews.
I applied cream blush to her apples and set with a powder blush. I love mixing a matte pink blush with a shimmery peach over a cream. It lasts so much longer than just a powder blush and you can customize the color.
I then Bronzed, contoured and highlighted just enough to add the perfect amount of glow and filled in Whitney’s amazing brows with a pencil then powder to create a soft and finished look.
Last, I used three glosses over the course of the day mixing them to create the desired tone. A peach and two different pinks. No liner was used, I wanted it to look effortless and natural.
