It has been almost 3 months since the Stay At Home order was put in place in California. Parts of LA are beginning to reopen, but we are still limiting leaving the house. A lot of us are continuing to be tested right now as restlessness, stress and anxiety continue to persist with all of the uncertainty going on in our country. Dr. Arielle Schwartz is back with an essay on resilience strategies.
Happy Friday! So crazy. At first Fridays felt the same as every other day, but now they’re one of my favorite days. I get a good balance of productivity, quality time with Sonny and relaxation on Fridays and that makes me feel whole. Another reason I love Fridays is because I get to gather this fun list 🙂
Here is EVERYTHING I used, wore and LOVED the past few weeks! Wow, this is a lot and I love this batch. Here are some fashion faves, beauty must-haves, books for your kids, home essentials and delicious treats! Hope you like!!
During this week’s episode of WITH WHIT, my younger sister and guest, Paige, shared all of the details of being a new mom during Covid-19. We are back with some of her must-have product recommendations: things to have in the house and nursery, diaper bag and other mom essentials!
I hope you all are continuing to stay safe and healthy. I am still taking this all one day at a time. I have found myself experiencing several good days before getting hit with a bad one that knocks me on my a**. That bad one always makes me feel deflated and anxious.
This week, my younger sister, Paige, joined me on my podcast, WITH WHIT! She is a brand new mom and shared her experience of life in quarantine with a newborn. Moms or soon to be moms…I highly recommend you listen! She gives some amazing insight that I hope will help you with any anxiety you might be having.
I have decided to make it a priority to schedule out some ME TIME every day during quarantine. For me, that means going outside to read a book, going on a walk, watching easy TV, working out for at least 20 min or giving myself a facial!
Here is a full round up of everything I used, wore, loved, listened to and cooked over the past couple weeks! Some of these recipes and songs were so therapeutic to me. (The Best Healthy Cookies are AMAZING.) I highly recommend you check them out!
We are trying really hard to go to the grocery store as little as possible right now. That means we are working with what we got…kind of intimidating but also a good challenge. We shouldn’t be wasting what we have. This whole situation has put a lot in perspective for me, and I want to make changes now that will stick far after this is over. I was recently connected with Chef Donal Skehan and thought it would be great if he provided some quick tips and tricks for cooking from your pantry!
Like everyone else, our daily routine and schedule has drastically changed. We had Sonny on a very strict schedule which included a very precise nap and bedtime. It wasn’t difficult to get him to fall asleep, because he was always tired after school. Even though his regular routine has changed and is different every day, we are still striving to keep nap time and bed time consistent…for him and for us.
