me time

Hi!

Right now, my day to day schedule is really crazy. Sonny is two years old and in school so he now has a more complex schedule that I need to incorporate into my own. Additionally, I have so many new and wonderful things happening in my career. All this to be said, I am busy, and it is so easy for me to get lost in the chaos of my daily schedule.

I find myself becoming anxious with anticipation of the coming days to-do list. This has started affecting my sleep. I am up for hours just waiting to fall asleep. It starts this vicious worry in my head that I won’t get enough sleep. In order to not lose myself in my busy life and mind, I have made it essential to schedule some me time. I know this may sound cliche or so beaten over your head over and over by various people in your life but selfcare truly is a life savor for me. If I don’t leave time for it, I start to bubble up inside with angst. This comes in many forms – hot yoga, breathing exercises, reading, massages, mani pedi, etc. However, my essential go-to is taking care of my physical self using soothing beauty products both when I wake up in the morning and before I go to sleep in the evening.
