Hey guys! Rosibel here! I am back to break down a quick how-to on this cute chignon I created using an elastic, cool scarf, & a few bobby pins. I call this look: The Sunday Vibe. For when you’ve had a long weekend of outings or just don’t feel like doing anything to your hair- just create a pony, wrap a cute scarf around it, and roll it into a chignon (or bun to sound less fancy hehe.)
Scarf: Womankind Scarf from Female, Not Factory
Other scarf options:
Extra Extra Scarf Pony from Free People
Dreamiest Scarf Pony from Free People
Springtime Garden Silk Scarf from Anthropologie
Jaguar Print Scarf Scrunchie from Forever21
First: Prep hair with a dry shampoo (if your hair hasn’t been washed in a few days) or a texture spray & comb through it using your fingers as the comb.
Second: Start to gather your hair into a low pony, leaving some hair around your face for some framing. Tie with a Blaxx hair elastic.
Third: Back comb the pony using a Mason Pearson brush for a little fullness follow this by then tying the scarf around the pony, this will leave you with two pieces. Part your pony into two pieces as well and gather the two loose scarf pieces in and start to create a rope braid- once you reach the bottom you can secure it with another elastic. Lastly, begin to wrap the pony into a chignon (bun) and pin as you go. Don’t worry about fly-aways as the look is meant to look effortless. You can use the GHD 1 inch iron to enhance some waves around the face.
