It’s sad this is the first time I am hearing of some of these brands. I’ve been so inspired by everyone shedding light on black owned businesses and decided to do some research myself. Here is a curated list of pieces I discovered and love from their sites. Let’s use our spending power for good.
Happy Friday! So crazy. At first Fridays felt the same as every other day, but now they’re one of my favorite days. I get a good balance of productivity, quality time with Sonny and relaxation on Fridays and that makes me feel whole. Another reason I love Fridays is because I get to gather this fun list 🙂
Here is EVERYTHING I used, wore and LOVED the past few weeks! Wow, this is a lot and I love this batch. Here are some fashion faves, beauty must-haves, books for your kids, home essentials and delicious treats! Hope you like!!
There is so much out of our control right now that it feels good to take charge of our daily routines by simplifying. While my skincare routine has always felt efficient, I tend to use a lot of different products because I love trying new things. I love to try new things and will continue to but it is also promising to hear that we don’t need as much as we think we do on a normal basis. Nisha Shah, a Physician’s Assistant at Moy, Fincher, Chipps Facial Plastics and Dermatology, reminded me in our live yesterday that less really can be more when it comes to taking the best care of our skin. Btw, Moy Fincher Chips Dermatology specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology with an emphasis on acne and anti-aging treatments so she really knows her stuff.
Here is a full round up of everything I used, wore, loved, listened to and cooked over the past couple weeks! Some of these recipes and songs were so therapeutic to me. (The Best Healthy Cookies are AMAZING.) I highly recommend you check them out!
Until recently, makeup has not been a part of my quarantine routine. I was lazy and uninspired. However, I found myself grimacing at myself in the mirror every time I passed by one in the house. All of a sudden, it felt like we had mirrors everywhere! I was inspired to pull myself together a little, and I remembered that getting dressed and pampering myself makes me feel put together, empowered, motivated and brightens my mood. SO, I made a WFH Look!
I hope you guys were able to find some moments of laughter and joy this weekend. The weekends feel even more welcome now. I am sensing a lot of people, like myself, feeling a need for routine during the week and maybe pushing themselves too hard. I think we need to try to release what we think is expected of us and focus more on what we expect of ourselves. So instead of judging myself for putting this kind of content out there, I am going to embrace it and share with you some of the products and music that really got me through the week. I hope any part of it lifts your spirits!
Here is “What I Wore, Used and <3’ed This Week: Staying at Home.” This week has been part of a major transition period. I want to continue to share what I am using and loving throughout the week with you, but I also know some may not be in a spending mood. All good. I’m not really either but maybe these picks can help bring you guys a little browsing entertainment, inspiration or joy.
Today, I have a very special Vacay Edition of “What I Wore, Used and <3’ed This Week” for you! I just got back from an incredible trip to Mexico with Timmy. It was the vacation of a lifetime, and I was so grateful for every second.
I hope you are having a great weekend!! This past week was a whirlwind and so busy…in the best way! Excited to share so many new things with you. Until then, here are all the products I wore, used and loved.
