During both my pregnancies, I made it a point to exercise almost every day even if it was just a brisk walk. The benefits of staying active during pregnancy seem endless – from helping with delivery and recovery to easing the common ailments of pregnancy. For example, stretching and yoga can help with aches, pains and sciatica due to pregnancy. Movement can also improve circulation, which may help to reduce swelling. Not to mention, there are health benefits for your baby in utero too!
Over the last few weeks and months I haven’t been able to work out as much because I felt so sick from my pregnancy. I am finally feeling well enough and am getting back on the workout train. I sent Paige to check out a new barre studio (on ClassPass) in Brentwood called Barreworks! My doctor suggested that I do more strength training.
It’s a new year and it’s time to get motivated! Grab your friends and go on a hike, a walk, or a stroll! It doesn’t hurt when your hike ends with a picnic with all your favorite snacks! Hoping this rain in LA goes away so I can get back on track!
